A mercado (marketplace) is not like a
supermarket, although they have those
as well in Mexico.  This is the "pork"
section of the mercado in Mazatlan.

old area of Mazatlan reminded her of
New Orleans, like this restaurant.

Mazatlan is especially
lovely with its twin
spires, as is the
Peralta Theater
which has been
restored and is still
in use.
